First-Party Analytics

We use a self-hosted, privacy-friendly analytics system to collect anonymous usage statistics about how visitors interact with our website. This system:

Google Analytics 4

Nature and Purpose of Processing:

Data Transfer to a Third Country (USA):

Information generated by the service may be transmitted to a server of Google LLC in the USA and stored there. A data transfer agreement exists between the European Union and the United States known as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF). Google LLC is certified under this DPF, committing to uphold European data protection standards when processing data in the U.S. This transfer is legally based on an adequacy decision by the EU Commission pursuant to Art. 45 GDPR.

Storage Duration:

Data on the user and event level in Google Analytics 4 is stored by default for 2 months (and up to a maximum of 14 months). The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose of its collection.

Data Processing Agreement:

We have concluded a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with Google, which guarantees that Google processes the personal data of our website visitors strictly according to our instructions and in full compliance with the GDPR.
